I have my first post-screening counseling session tomorrow (for depression and anxiety not related to the relationship). Can my counselor give me advice on how I might be able to get my ex-boyfriend of over a year and half back? I have weighed the positives and the negatives and feel it would be worth getting back together. There has been little contact since the breakup. How should I bring this up to my counselor, and what kind of questions should I ask her?

I would just be open and honest -- don't ***** foot around. Just plain tell her that you have thought about it and weighed the pros and cons, and want him back! Ask her what the best way would be to go about it. See what she says and if she even rrecommends it.
Make sure you've thought about the reasons you broke up in the first place, and if those reasons still exist or if they're gone or can be worked on, or what. And make sure you're prepared if he doesn't WANT to get back together. He may have already found someone else -- just so you're prepared. I'd hate to see you get your heart broken. ![]() So just be open with your therapist. Best of luck and let us know what happens with your ex. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee
