My name is in the title of my house along with my husband. He is solely listed as responsible in the loan of the house. In case of a divorce, will I have any claim on this house?

I don't know the laws in your state. It doesn't matter if your husband is the only one responsible for the mortgage pertaining to ownership. If your name is on the title to the house and since you are married, you definitely have right to ownership of your house.

You can call an attorney in your county and ask for free. They'll always talk to you.

Hi Pinkvilla.

Dependant on how much equity your husband and you have in the property will certainly determine how much both parties are entitled to. Laws differ from Country to Country & State to State. How long you have been married, verbal & written agreements, value of assets both bought into the marriage etc...etc...will all need to be calculated prior to any settlement. Property/Finances when leaving a marriage can be murky & confusing, so finding a legal representative is sound advice.

Good Luck pink villa...wishing you all the best.
