It was an ugly divorce and he won. I moved far away, changed my name and began a new life, than discovered that, strange as it may seem, he knew some people up here. Over time, it seemed evident that he was monitoring me (or members of his family). However, the motive did not seem to be to resume a relationship. What should I do?

I'm afraid this is not something I really know much of anything about. But I noticed no one had yet replied to your post. So I thought I would.

Unfortunately I don't know if there is much of anything you can do. You didn't mention what it is he (or his family) may be doing. If you think they might be doing something that is illegal you could report that to local law enforcement. You might also check in with any local women's rights organizations to see if they might have any suggestions for you.

Perhaps other PC members will have better suggestions they can offer.

I hear his name mentioned by neighbors in the halls. It could be a different person, though. It just makes me uneasy. M
