Hey all,

I am new to this thread, and like many of you, never wanted to be here. I've been with my husband for 6 years, married for 3, and he cheated on me twice.

Since I found out, he has come back to me twice (after I kicked him out) to work on things, but is set to leave in a few days to go back to her and at this time, we've agreed to just let it go for now. I'm ready to start dating and moving forward with my life because I know I deserve better than the current version of him that is present now (alcoholic, mentally unhealthy, a lot of unresolved baggage, affair fog/limerence). I haven't completely shut down reconciliation in the future because I believe the universe will send us what we need when we need it, but for now he's not what I need or want. Or at least that is what I am trying to convince myself of.

We are both in individual therapy, but I am looking for a support group or somewhere I can message regularly to help deal with the emotions or share a similar process. I have a bunch of friends back home, but most haven't even gotten married once yet or gone through a divorce (I'm mid 30's) so it is hard to have them support me. I am also living abroad and there's no chance of going home for another year and a half due to my contract/job. So that limits some of the contact I can have with friends due to time differences. Anybody have any ideas or want to connect?
Cheers,
Jay

Hi Jay,
I'm in the same exact boat. Waiting for my wife and her parents to move out the house. I've been with her for 12 years and married for almost 10 years now. We have 2 young kids, 7 month and 6 year old. If you ever need anyone, feel free to talk to me. I find that it also helps with what I'm going through now as well.

Hi Jay

This would be my first post on the forum.

I am going through a separation myself, which is a VERY recent thing. I'm not in any form of therapy myself, so I'm thinking maybe talking to someone would actually help me and (possibly) you work through some personal things.

Anyway... hope to hear from you, and all of the best.
