I have been married for 19 years with two kids and have been unhappy for most of it. I have stuck it out for the kids and finances. When the kids were younger it was easier to hide my unhappiness but they are now 12 and 15 and quite frankly this has become a miserable place to live. He makes considerably more money than I do and I have a lot of debt- student loans, credit cards that I have been trying to chip away at but not making a dent. I want out so badly but am terrified that this will be so disruptive to the kids as I can not afford our current home on my own. We live in a smaller town with a very competitive real estate market and I am not even sure I could find a place here on my own. I would hate to pull them out of the current school district. I honestly don't know where to start but can't imagine living another second this unhappy either.

Hi @mom2two21 -welcome to MSF My Support Forums. I am sorry you are in an unhappy marriage and feeling stuck. There are no easy answers for that kind of situation.

Have you considered seeking out a professional specializing in relationships? It could help to have someone on your side. Many insurance plans have coverage of this type of help.

I try to get enough sleep and catch a nap when I can. Being tired just wears me out. I also need to eat healthy and exercise to feel good about myself.

I find in my own case, I have the tendency when things are going wrong to focus exclusively on the things not going right. Sometimes I have to search hard and long for what is going okay, but when I focus on that it helps me put things in perspective. Sometimes just being alive is what I am grateful for. Yoga by adrienne on youtube is sort of like my second family. She is very supportive and does not try to push too far, respecting limits. Just getting rid of body tension is a big relief.

Hope you get the support you are looking for. @CANDC
