That is verging on abuse (if it isn't already) and it sounds like he needs to take his trust issues to counseling and work out why he's reacting like this rather than try to blame his reaction on you. Space might be a good thing while he does this - you cannot fix his insecurity, only he can do this. And I would take the tracker off my phone ASAP - you are not a lost pet!
