Any thought of reconciliation went by the board tonight. The end of us? After all these years? It just makes me want to die. I'm just heartbroken. Devastated. Crushed. All over? Just broken.

And I have to pull myself together or I really won't survive this. I've never been laid so low. I have a few years left and I need to live them, devastated as I am. Separation/divorce is simply hideous.

I’m so sorry. It seems like there’s a lot more divorcing late in life recently. I’m very sorry it was a one sided affair in your case. Can you find an over 55 community to join? I’m not recently divorced ( that was long ago) but I found a senior apartment building and there’s many activities and nice people here. Many more women than men, but that’s par for course I think. We play poker one evening a week and that’s more men than women. The potluck is also about even.
