Broken hearted

I'm so broken hearted I could just die. I'm devastated. I don't think I'll ever be whole again. I'm just miserable. Sitting in an empty house, waiting for a reconciliation that'll never happen. I'm just heartbroken.

I am so sorry you're feeling this way @Arkady Jameson - I definitely know what you're going through, I have been there my friend. I am sitting in an empty apartment too that me and my husband once shared. I know it's hard, but you'll heal in time. It does get better.

Anytime @Arkady Jameson - I am here for support if you need it. I know it's hard, but I know you'll get through this. It is cliche to say this, but time does heal it, you have to just go through it first, and that's the hard part.

Thanks again, LadyShadow. I hate to dump this on you but do you realize you're my only friend? I have nobody... even my older brother treats my struggle like some kind of a gag. He went through a HORRIFIC divorce twenty years ago and I had him on the phone every day, telling me how awful everything was; I was completely supportive. Now it's my turn on the Wheel-O-Pain and he's "Meh. So what". Nice.

It's hard to go through this alone, I am sorry your brother isn't more supportive. Some people don't realize how much you need them. But you will get through this, maybe one day you can start cleaning up everything. One of the best things I did was get rid of all my husband's belongings and clean up my house.

Thanks again, LadyShadow. Your kind words are very much appreciated. As pathetic as it sounds, no body gives a damn about me. I'm all alone. I could fall over dead in this empty house and nobody would know or care until I started sinking up the neighborhood. Life is just grand.

I remember when I had a wife, a career (I was a high school teacher and administrator for 40 years), a home, and self-respect. All gone. I have nothing and I am nothing. Talk about a come down. Who knows? I might survive all this terrible-ness.

I have fallen down so many times it's hard to remember what it was ever like to be happy - things and people come and go - you'll make it through all this terrible-ness. All these feelings are temporary @Arkady Jameson - that's how I look at it.

There were periods of unhappiness, but honestly, I couldn't appreciate all this happiness if I didn't go through all of that. So it is a learning experience, and we as humans, are always learning and growing. But definitely good luck to us though - I still think about my husband a lot, but I know it's over.
