That's not good for you, starving your body for a long amount of time, then shocking it with food, then purging. You're doing a lot of damage to your body.

Try to eat six small, low-ish cal meals. Distributed equally throughout the day and big enough to be nourishing but small enough not to have to purge them.

It's good you recognize that the behaviour is bad and needs changed. There are therapists that can help you. I'd suggest go seeing your doctor and get a referral to a T. If you're in high school see a school shrink, it's free. Chances are you're going to need help to change your behaviour.

Good luck.

abg,

Sounds like your in a cycle of destruction. Eating disorders are very vicious. We are here to help. Welcome to the forum. One thing that helps is stepping out of secrecy.
Tell a friend, a family member, a pastor, a mentor.
Ask them to support and encourage you. Maybe you can call them when you are tempted to either not eat or purge.

The other big helper in my life has been therapy. Find a good therapist. Interview them. Choose one you feel comfortable with.

For me the last thing that has helped is staying attached to my faith. There is hope for you. There is nothing that love can't conquer. Your life has meaning!

Feel free to pm.
