Visualization exercise for Body Image:
Close your eyes in a quiet, comfortable place. After a few cleansing breaths, imagine yourself as a toddler. See how round you are as you roll on the floor pull yourself up to stand. Hear the adults saying, “What a darling child.” Feel happiness in knowing that they are talking about you. The fat child is okay, because it is natural for all children to have baby fat. Then, picture yourself as a young teenager, just starting to mature. Your body needs to grow at this time; it needs some extra fat, too. Now see yourself moving into adulthood. Your body not the same. Finally, imagine yourself at 90-years-old. What would you look like? Bodies change. Relax. Get comfortable with this idea. Appreciate what nature gave you.
Thanks for this!
