Well what ever you choose to do is Okay PUP ! A boy friend of mine asked me why I didn't shave below.

it was just a question to spring board a comment about some women he had been with . some were prostitutes . The man was an abuser. he had a way of depersonalizing women . He was good at it.

I was asked to shave when I was 11 because I was a sacronized swimmer and my coach told my mother I had to .

I thought it as pretty sleek . I never looked back. later in my 20's I chose to let my leg hair grow because I saw a very blonde haired woman not shave her legs and thought it was bold of her to do that.

Mine was not blonde nor was I as beautiful to pull it off. I did bleach ther hair on my legs for a while.

I loved feeling the breeze waft through the hair on my legs when I rode my bike and thought it was the most sentuous feeling. That lasted about three or four years. People do stare .. My obgyn nurse does not shave her legs . Shes eastern European . and its more common in Europe.

I like the look of shaven over hairy. Many men get thier chest and back waxed to get that look.

Does it have anything to do with wanting to look child like?
how about more youthful .soft and smooth .

Male cyclists shave thier legs and I think they look great!

is that women who have anorexia want a thin body and do not want to develop thier sexuality and try to keep thier bodies child like inorder to not attract the oposite sex possiblt due to fear .

Was not true for me at all. di have fear of men though.

PS . I don't shave down below... some women make it a art form .

I shave also Pup but I'm not sure it's exactly so I look child-like, I think I just prefer it. I did hate growing pubic hair/breasts though... I really was not pleased with puberty so maybe part of my anorexia is linked to not really wanting to grow up, wanting to remain small.

I shave because I hate body hair period anything that has to do with growing up my body changing. A man being able to TAKE me. Yes if I could erase it all I would. If I could get lazer hair removal on my whole body. I'd be there in a second if I could afford it.

I shave my legs & under my arms. Didn't like the feel of the hair on my legs.......but never was very good & keeping them shaved perfectly though.

Underarm hair....always keep that shaved mostly I found that even showering several times a day & using deoderant, I could end up getting smelly if the hair wasn't shaved...have no idea why that was, but somehow shaving helped with that.

For the 15 years I was working I always played racquettball at lunch everyday & would take a quick shower before going back to work....It was easier to dry off quickly when shaved legs also....so that my reasoning for shaving then....even if none of the guys I played with ever shaved their legs...lol. Strange, I don't remember much about any of the women at the racquettball club & if they shaved of not....never paid much attention as I was always in such a hurry to get back to work.

Noticed now at my age...lol...56, that I am growing much less hair now & don't have to shave as often.....so I get a bit lazy & shave when the hair starts to bother me.....but always keep my underarms shaved for the reason that when I sweat, it smells more when there is hair than without no matter how many times a day I shower.

I always liked the look of tan legs without hair....only problem, I alway burned & didn't tan......so that wasn't a good reason for me.

i shave, because i think it looks pretty, i feel more comfortable if im shaven, and i dont know if my anorexia makes me think like this or other things, but i feel more hygenic shaved i dunno if i consciously want to look child like.

guess its just me then.
i had a bad childhood & i had to grow up too quickly & it was screwed up, in a lot of ways, so now... I guess i crave what i didnt get.

I shave because i'm used to it and feel better kept when it's done, but i don't associate it with my ED...probably because my ED started well after my body hair began growing. While I do want to be waif thin, I also want to have a womanly shape, be it small and bony.
