I've never talked to a doctor about it before but I barely eat. I eat maybe once a day if anything, and can go a couple of days without picking up any sort of food. I'm just never hungry anymore, or at least I don't notice it most of the time. When I do eat my appetite is very small. I went from eating the amount of food that a normal person has every day to not eating much at all. Some of my friends call me fat and I sometimes believe them. Oh and I'm 5"6 and weigh 110 pounds.

You probably don't weigh enough for someone 5'6"; I am 5'6" and my low weight that I weighed for 10+ years at your age was 127 and many thought me too thin; though I did not have an eating disorder, was anxious instead. I'd go to my doctor and get a physical, talk with them and see what they think. I wouldn't pay a whole lot of attention to what your friends think; if you don't know and it's about "you", how can they have a clue?

I would say that you sound depressed. Being depressed can make you lose your appetite and not want to eat anything. I'd say it was an eating disorder if you PURPOSELY stopped yourself for eating OR you felt like you were accomplishing something by not eating. Eating disorders are about control. Not wanting to eat is a combination of physiologial and mental forces. Just my 2 cents. Either way, you may want to talk to your physician. Other than not eating, do you feel any other "unusual" symptoms?

By the way, I think your weight may be too low for your height....even if you have a very petite frame.

All the best,
Melissa

I must eat, my family watches me. Sometimes I wish that I was alone than I could decide what I would eat. I acctually never eat alone.
But although I dislike it, having people around you while you're eating supports you to eat. Otherwise they would ask 'don't you eat somethin?'. It might be encouraging to have someone around you while you're eating.
Just you know, you're skinny!

You can contact me if you want to.
