Resently I've fallen deeply back into my ED. I thought that I had gone back into my anorexia, but I'm told that I have a Purging disorder. I'm trying to get into treatment, but they said I had to go back to therapy first, So I went. Just having to do a lot of stuff to get into the treatment center and I'm not sure if I'm even up to going. I keep putting everything off. Being dx'ed as having a purging disorder makes me feel like I'm not sick enough to even go to treatment. Just confused.

anorexia, purging type....anorexia, non-purging type....it might be that you haven't actually been diagnosed with anorexia at this point if your weight hasn't fallen to the level to meet that criteria. But the behaviour and emotions involved can be the same. It is confusing, but if they are going to diagnose someone they really should fully explain what that means!

But just keep pushing for treatment and support as you're worthy of it whatever the diagnosis

Best Wishes

(there seems to be a nice cat-theme happening in the avatars on this site!!)

I'm suppose to see the doctor this week, but I can't seem to make the appointment. I just don't feel like dealing with any of it. Just easier sometimes to just be in the ED and not care about anything else.

Yeah, does look like a cat theme going on. <<---that's my youngest kitty Buddy.

Monty girl you are sick enough for treatment, but I understand you feeling that way. I've often felt the same way and I think a lot of us do.
I really urge you to make the appointment. I know how you feel, it's easier sometimes to 'give in' and just let the ed take control, but I know you don't REALLY want to be living with this. Try to accept the help that's there.

I have a doc appointment tomorrow because my treatment really isn't working. I feel very tempted to not go and to just say "**** it I'll just lose weight" (I have said this many times in the past 2 days lol) but... I'm going just because there's a chance (even if it's small) that they might have something that will help me feel better. It's worth it.

Loving all the cats in this thread lol.
