I hope everyone has strength to endure the holiday season. It is a very difficult time for people struggling with disordered eating, as well as those in recovery. Be strong. Be healthy. Fight the disease. Enjoy the goodness that is friends, family, food, and fun.
I am thankful that all of you are here talking about your struggles! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

thanks for this... I am mostly recovered and have been for a few years now but the holidays are always a very difficult time - I feel so dangerously close to losing all the progress I have made and it seems so easy to make some very unhealthy decisions. I hate that I can be mostly "recovered" and still struggle so much - I may not actually engage in any disordered behavior, and for the most part I have a much healthier attitude towards my body and weight, but the holidays bring out these monster thoughts in my head and it's so hard to fight them.
