so i have been really out of sorts these days and my ed has really been getting the best of me ,i have finally got a appt. with a therapist but, all though i want and know i need the help ,i have not been to therapy in 20 years and am very scared and nervous,it is driving me crazier just thinking of it , i went last week just to get approved at the clinic and just that had me clawing my arms till they were bleeding,why i have been in therapy for si and other issues never for ed ,what can expect , what should i tell them,has any one been in therapy for ed , i think if i knew some of what to expect i wouldnt be so nervous

I do see a therapist, although it's for Pre mestural dysphoric disorder. I think what's important is you have to be comfortable with how much you want to share with your therapist at first and your therapist should respect that. The most imporant thing- is you! You need to be comfortable, no one else.

Crossfire,

Therapy for ED's is the same as therapy for SI and stuff like that. Since you've got therapy experience, just go at a pace you're comfortable with.

okay therapy was not so bad.it actually was really good and the lady was very calming for me.i kind of was able to finally take a deep breath and let go of alot and stop blaming myself for this time in my life.
