So I've basically decided that I really need to stop taking laxatives. Today is the first day I have gone without them in a while and I am suffering so much, physically. I have a horendous headache, I'm dizzy, I have fainted and I'm shaking like a leaf.

I know no one will probably listen but PLEASE don't start taking laxatives, it's absolutely terrible going through this.

I don't want to take anymore but at the same time, I am desperate to.

I am glad that you have decided that you are not going to take laxatives anymore. I am wishing you luck, and sending you extra strength...

(I say extra because you are strong for wanting to quit...) (if a hug is ok)

Thank you! Hugs are always welcome.

Still haven't taken any laxatives today! However I have been purging more than usual but I'm trying my hardest to stay positive.

I really appreciate you sharing this as I have been considering buying some today (and this is not something I ever do). Reading this just reminds me it's not worth adding another behavior to this mess of a disorder. I hope you can stay strong!

Been there done that also.....not worth it.

The strange thing is over the last few weeks after my oldest eskie dog died (on Thanksgiving morning), the nerves & the stress, caused the same effect as with laxitives every time I ate even a few bites of food. I had to be close to a bathroom & it was that same horrible feeling which made me also not want to eat because of the sick feeling that left me feeling.

Laxatives or whatever other cause of that is NOT healthy to the body. It's getting better for me now....but there are times when it still hits just the same as when I was taking the laxatives.

I am glad I stopped that..but I know how hard it is.....keep up the good work because getting dependent on them, makes the body quit working.....they you really have a mess to deal with
