I gave this article to my therapist in the early stages. He still doesn't "get" eating disorders.

Thanks for this!

Have you thought about changing T to one who specializes in EDs?

I am blessed enough to have 2 Ts that understand EDs. I have one who specializes in them and then the other one is my DBT/EMDR. I am glad that you have at least one T who is understanding. What is IFS? I have never heard of it before.

I gave this article to my therapist because I felt it fit far better then an addiction label. Plus T was puzzled what could possibly have gone wrong that I had a severe eating disorder by 8 yrs old.
