Does anyone else have this problem of sleep eating without you being aware of it. I got told by someone else that I've been coming down to eat at night without my being aware of it? I have no memory of doing it. What's causing this?
Should I tell my therapist about this will he care?

Other info: I get weird dreams almost every night. Sometimes I'm not sure if they're nightmares. I also take diet pills.

are you on meds that the sleep walking/eating might be a side effect....I have heard there are some meds that can cause that to happen...not the eating but the getting up from sleep totally unaware of what you are doing. Have you ever had that happen before in your life....know my SIL used to sleep walk often.

Yes, you should tell your T & your pdoc as there may be a med change necessary.........GET OFF THE DIET PILLS.....those are KILLERS.....& could seriously be the problem & cause of what you are experiencing.

Oh yes. I go back downstairs and eat, mainly if I drink a lot of wine. It's also happened to me in the past when I took sleeping meds. It never happens if I don't take meds or drink alcohol. I too never have any recollection what so ever. For me it's very annoying and depressing, especially as I have eating disorders. HUGZZ and LOVES, as ever. XXXXXXXXXX

Actually....I looked it up on the internet....stimulants can cause that effect of sleepwalking (the fact you eat while doing it is just a byproduct of where your mind is going). What do you think diet pills are...but stimulants....to increase your metabolism in order to loose weight.....that's what stimulants do.

I'm thinking....stop the diet pills & your sleepwalking/eating would stop also.
