So my anorexia is complicated by the fact that I have other disorders.

I was on Seroquel for schizophrenia, which made me gain weight, and that triggered a bad relapse in my ED. Then after getting treatment for that and gaining weight again, I started skimping on my meds because I was afraid of gaining weight which triggered a relapse in the sz.
I also had periods where I did ED behaviors, not for my usual reasons, but because I thought my food was poisoned/drugged/spoiled among other things. Some of my past meds had to keep getting readjusted because my weight would drop and then shoot up in recovery.
Now I'm on Geodon, which I have to take with food... It's not easy, but knowing what psychosis is like, it's kind of motivation to keep eating normally.

What about you? Do you have any comorbid disorders? How do they affect your ED and vice-versa?

Do you have any comorbid disorders? Yep bipolar

How do they affect your ED and vice-versa? my eating disorder gets worse as my mood swings. My meds have to be weight neutral but I will take PRN that have weight gain but each pill has a lbs assigned to it. So basically I judge if this issue is bad enough to risk gaining x lbs. I can only take meds 1x a day as more often would not happen. Its to be taken with as much food as I can allow.

That said my viibryd has completely taken my eating disorder away even when I'm not stable.

How do you know your ED is not a symptom of that comorbid diagnosis? My T said my Bulimia comes from my cPTSD and Borderline and when those are treated my ED will resolve.....which I can actually see that starting to happen. We never treated the ED, barely discussed it in the past year.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.

My ED showed up years before I started getting symptoms of psychosis. I just relapsed recently because of the psychosis/meds.

Yes. It was awful. I had muscle stiffness, akathisia, a tremor, was tired all the time, and got depressed on it. And it wasn't doing enough for me even on 25mg.
