Like many others with an ED, my self esteem has packed up and gone yeeeaaars ago. Whenever anyone gives me a compliment like I look nice, I get red in the face and almost angry. It's like I feel the person is making fun of me almost and I don't believe them. I never wear makeup around the house and my bf will tell me how pretty I am and I just tell him to shut up and I'm thinking in my head "yea right, he's only saying that to make me feel good and that's it". Anyone else get like this?

yes, today in group a woman complimented me and i turned red and covered my face. compliments make me uncomfortable. i also feel like its sarcastic or motivated by making fun of me.
