I apologize for this being so disgusting. I just had traces of blood in my vomit. I'm bulimic. What does this mean?? Will it go away naturally if I stop purging?

If you stop, it should heal, but it depends on how much and what's going on in your throat. It could be a scrape, but it can also be serious. I'm sorry it's not the answer you want to hear and I totally understand where you are coming from. You might want to get checked by a dr if you start to feel faint or unwell... PM me if you need to.

I agree something you want checked out...hopefully it is just a finger nail scrap to the back of your throat...however there could be something more serious going on...have checked to be safe...

yeah... the lecture.... but hey.. they wouldn't be docs if they didn't lecture - I think they teach that in "doctoring school" - don't let that stop you.... goodness knows, I've heard my fair share too...

so pls let us know how you're doing.. OK?

Sorry I hadnt responded yet. Dr. thinks i just tore a blood vessle in my esophogus (which of course could get worse to a full blown tear in the whole thing if i keep purging, lecture, lecture, lecture). She gave me some meds to help, and I'm trying hard not too. It was just bad timign, b/c I've been going through the deepest depression lately and dealing with things that are hard. oh well. ma ybe this is to kick me through this. I've never seen death so close (not cuz of the tear) just it adding to my lack of desire to breath anymore. I feel a bit better today after a long cry though. Thanks for the support you all !
