I haven't been diagnosed but I have suffered for as long as I can remember. I'm just getting worse and I'm really worried. I crave junk food all the time, even if I eat a normal meal if it's not what I'm craving then I do not get full it sounds so stupid but it's true. I eat so much all the time i'm constantly getting criticized for it, I'm starting to make myself feel so ill after I've eaten now and I just can't stop, I'm constantly fighting this battle and I'm not sure what to do anymore.

Hello remmus97: It appears this was either your first or second post, here on PsychCentral so... welcome to PC... from the Skeezyks! May you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

I don't know as I have much to offer with regard to the subject of your post. What occurs to me is that perhaps it is time to look into the possibility of being evaluated at an eating disorders program. I wish you well...

I'm prescribed vyvanse for my binge eating. It's a stimulant drug but it's been approved for binge eating disorder. However is kinda messed with my BP issues and can make me hypo. Other than that, my bulimia has cut down from binging/purging 5 times a day to 2 times a wk. if all else fails, maybe bring that med up to your doc if you're interested.

Remmus97- I can relate, watching my face get bigger is a telltale sign of my weight gain that I can hdpide from no one! I don't stand on the scale, it needs new batteries, but my mirror doesn't lie and it is hard to look at myself! I woke this morning with the prevailing thought that I can either do what I've done and get the results I'm getting OR do something different! In other words, I can wake up, feed the cats, feed myself go back to bed and slowly start my day OR feed the cats, and then disrupt the old behavior. Like get on here for a bit, maybe ride my stationary bike a few minutes, write, like I'm doing here, reach out to someone, like I'm doing with you. I'm in a program that says the tools offer relief, some of the tools are- writing, reading info on this area of struggle, reaching out to others with like struggles, plan of action and more, but these are what I had on my heart this morning. Perhaps and hopefully some of this will help you too!
Thanks for this!

I've drastically gained weight too. It started due to meds I was on and then continued. I'm going to see my doctor about getting a gastric band

I have been reading how the Artificial sweeteners & high fructose corn syrup that all the processed foods use, triggers the appetite & it makes people continue to desire eating. Maybe if you look at the contents of the food you are eating & eliminate/replace foods with corn syrup in it with something else, it might help.

Why Artificial Sweeteners Can Cause Overeating
