Binging and then restricting and then ugh everything is just a mess I feel super out of control I would rather just restrict or maybe I should just stop eating altogether

Binging and restricting can become such a vicious cycle. I go through similar but I realize now that there's something that triggers it. I find it to be intense during moments were I'm anxious, afraid, or unhappy about something going on in my life. Has anything happened recently?

Otherwise if I were you I would seek help from a therapist and/or a nutritionist in order to help you cope better. Also from my experience when I get upset and I binge I feel awful about myself. It makes me feel worse than before I binged. That's what then causes me to restrict. I go to the two extremes. If you feel out of control perhaps it's time to get someone else in to help.
Thanks for this!

I have mentioned some of it to my psychologist but I have not been diagnosed with anything that I know of. I do find I binge more when upset and then it does make me feel even worse ugh I just don't know what to do anymore everything to do with food is becoming so difficult I think about it constantly and it makes me cry all the time sometimes I will eat and I won't want to but I can't seem to make myself stop and I am literally crying and eating at the same time other times I will just not eat for days. It is all too stressful.

I think that it's sometimes hard to judge how "bad" something is especially when you are dealing with yourself. it could be that your perception of yourself could be distorted . However the fact that you can point out that you're having an issue is important. You obviously recognize that you're having an issue and that it's not your norm. I think you have reason enough to seek help. Why do you feel that you don't deserve to feel good?

I think they are many of us that feel the same way about ourselves but that is part of an eating disorder. You can't see yourself for who you really are and therefore you view yourself in a distorted way. It's difficult to see things differently when we are in that state. I see the same way about myself as well. It seems very real to me but if you think about it even the thought seems extreme. I bet there are many people who disagree with your statement about being "disgusting and not worth anything". I would definitely seek help.

I highly doubt that. I would definitely try counseling just to help you see things as they really are and help you with your struggles.
