I go back and forth between eating a lot and restricting. Most of the time, I stick to my 1,280 calories, and other times I can eat 2,500. I can easily switch back to dieting. So I've been either losing weight or maintaining.

Is this an issue? Or am I just hungry sometimes or not hungry other times. I have lost a lot of weight. I needed to though. I can switch back to eating less calories when I worry about gaining weight. I think that's probably the worst thing that can happen. I'd feel so humiliated if I gained the weight back.

This weekend was unusual, and I ate a ton of food. Sunday I was worried, and I didn't have access to scale, so I stopped eating a lot right away. And I've been eating my normal amount ever since.

My doctor says that I am just hungry sometimes and other times I am not. He says the same thing happens to him.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Binging followed by periods of restricting falls under the bulimia spectrum. So is binging then working out excessively. So bulimia isn't always just about purging and I've experienced all in my days of eating disorders.
