Ugh! I know I practically ended up with a weight loss surgery to save my life (ironic for someone with a past of an ED ), and I was doing OK today, had breakfast, lunch, yogurt, maybe too much coffee. I took my stomach medication 30 minutes before dinner as usual, and I just couldn't eat. I had made bland food for myself - chicken noodle soup, saltine crackers, apple slices. Managed some soup and a few apple slices and then I just couldn't eat any more. I started feeling nauseous. I had been doing much better with eating until a few days ago, and now it's getting harder & harder. I'm not sure if it's the surgery, the change in my psych meds (I'm on something different for anxiety & sleep now), just what it is, but it needs to stop. I seriously hope I am not getting another stomach bug. Yesterday, I dropped by my sister's house to quickly give her some clothes my daughter had outgrown. (My sister has 3 girls, all younger than my daughter.) One of my nieces had been up all night throwing up. I was barely there 5 minutes.

If it's not a bug, and it's going to be this hard to eat much longer, I am definitely going to need a registered dietician. In the meantime, I can some ideas from my sister (the one with the 3 girls) as she double-majored in nutrition and physical therapy in college. My insurance company is being stupid as I am sure all of my bills have now capped my maximum out of pocket deductible of $7500!, but they haven't updated it in their system, so to any health care provider, it looks like I have not met my deductible, and I have to pay full price for everything. This is getting expensive as I have had to see the psychiatrist 3 weeks in a row! (Well, technically it's only been 2 weeks, but I have an appointment with him next week too.) I don't really blame him; I feel better if I'm monitored when my meds are getting tinkered with, and he is a thorough doctor and a new one for me, just getting to know me. I'd rather err on the side of caution.

I don't know, if I feel this way again tomorrow, I will put in a call to the gastroenterologist and see what he says. He is one of the top-rated gastroenterologists in the Houston area, so I'm sure he knows his stuff. Hopefully, he won't have me come back in because that is $88 a visit! Or worse yet, go to some imaging place, get a CT scan or something. We'll see. Hopefully, I will feel better tomorrow.
