Days like today just confuse me. When I chug 3 large unsweetened iced teas with diet syrup in a row and also drink a diet shake to avoid hunger, to me that kinda feels like disordered behavior. But I still don’t think it’s like 100% an issue. More like just a preoccupation I have that a bunch of people with no knowledge of this sort stuff told me was an actual issue.

Dewd, my question would not be why, so much as HOW can you drink so much at once! Are you not drinking anything during your intermittent fasting time? I thought people were allowed to drink stuff as long as it didnt break the fast. Like coffee but no cream or real sugar.

Also, my body has never been fooled by water. When i want food, i want food!

And i would be careful of water intoxication, which is drinking too much water too fast.

I’ve always been able to drink large quantity’s of water and other liguids ever since I was put on lithium. I developed lithium thirst and then kidney issues 7 years after that that didn’t go away after I got off it. That was in 2014 and now I have highly suggested kidney disease which hasn’t been a big deal. But I have no issue slamming down 3 large iced teas in 20 minutes or a 30oz glass of water in 10 seconds. I can also drink an iced coffee very fast. I only do this in front of my mom because I know it will draw attention from other people which I don’t want. I’ve never had an issue with water intoxication.

One time though this past summer it did not work out well and after the 3 iced teas I threw up on the floor and then projectile vomited in the toilet for a good minute straight.

I’ve been drinking this way for so many years and it hasn’t had any negative affects on my body and I don’t discuss it with anyone so I never really thought of it as an issue before. More like a quirk kinda.

I try not to drink anything like Gatorade or tea during my fasting but I’ll drink water as long as it’s not when I wake up at 2:30 at night and can’t fall back asleep because I don’t want the water to mess with my weight when I weigh myself.

Your body gets used to the fasting after a couple days.

I have a 5 ingredient slow cooker cookbook I got early last year. I used it today but I think I accidentally undercounted by like half. Which gave me a sick good feeling of self control that’s not a good feeling to have. Part of me feels good that people don’t see an issue because I kinda do see one and if they don’t see one then I can just continue on with what I’m doing. I am just so confused I know I go back and forth from post to post about if I have an issue or if I don’t.

But either way today I ate 3 good meals and 2 snacks and an Atkins shake. I did good.

I feel like I'm in this alone and I can't open up to anybody. My mom will think everything is an easy choice "just eat normal amounts at normal times and not puke after, it's that simple." My therapist thinks I'm cured because I ate yogurt. I tried telling my best friend too, but all she had to say was "don't try to lose weight."
I feel like this is a choice and I'm stupid or weak because I can't eat normally, but funny enough i don't think anyone else who struggles with an eating disorder is stupid or weak.
I need help. There just isn't any around.

I feel like I ate a lot today but I really didn’t each much and I actually bordered on restricting. I was distracted with my errands all day and I didn’t realize how little I actually ate until this afternoon. But I had a big breakfast but it was at 4:30. I didn’t even eat anything out of the ordinary really. Yogurt, string cheese, an English muffin, an Atkins shake. I’m wondering if I should switch up my intermittent fasting a bit and finish eating a bit later because these last 2 nights I’ve been struggling with waking up early and being hungry. But I don’t know how much of it is my fasting and how much of it is the time change because things were fine before Sunday.

I ate a chicken noodle soup bread bowl from Panera and the carbs and sodium have me freaking out right now. But I mean I do feel better then I did earlier when I kinda restricted yesterday. I had room in my budget for it. But I’m just not sure what The morning will look like with all those carbs and sodium.

But I have therapy early in the morning so I need to eat something legit even if I don’t want to or she’ll catch on. I don’t get hangry I just am not productive and I get lethargic when I don’t eat and therapists can tell. She made me drink a protein drink in her office one time because I had been restricting and doing other stuff the night before.

I'm so hungry it hurts.

for the last 3 nights, (monday, tuesday and wednesday) dinner was terrible- so bad that I felt sick twice

tonight I had 4 hamburgers, that's all, and they barely touched the surface.

roll on mcdonalds tomorrow

It’s hard to tell what’s disordered behavior and what’s plain not feeling good physically. I cut out soda. Which is healthy. I’m drinking more water. I’ve been trying to add more protein to my diet. I’ve been eating more peanut butter and protein shakes and eggs. Some days I’m just not very hungry because my stomach hurts. Tonight I had 2 puddings for dinner. But I didn’t restrict today. Right now I’m kind of hungry but also tired.

I feel ya! Im trying to not spend any money this month on food, to try to isolate my habit of emotional eating. So for breakfast today i made two bags of Thai Kitchen lemon grass and chili rice noodle soup. Usually its a little bit TOO much, but i was truly running on empty. So it filled me up without hurting me. I needed something relatively bland. Good news was, i wasnt hungry afterward.

I ate two cupcakes today. I went to a food bank and they gave some away. I sent the rest home with my mom. I ate healthy after that.

I kinda over drank today. Soda wise I mean. I threw out most of what I had the other day. But today I had some body armor water and then a couple bottles of soda that were tough to find and I didn’t want to throw them out so I figured I’d drink them today so I’m not tempted. As for food I had a burger from Sonic this morning. But I grazed on Fritos and Doritos for a lot of the day and I didn’t actually have a legit meal. I also had some peppermint hot chocolate. But yeah I mostly just had stuff to drink and the burger.

I usually just drink Atkins. But I also like Premier Protein. I like the cake batter and peanut butter chocolate flavors.

I couldn't sleep last night and ended up binging at like 1am, and just now after a quick workout I had a highish calorie granola bar that I haven't been able to touch for months and now I'm all anxious and panicky because I've already surpassed my calorie limit for the day and it's not even 9am.
