I get the Discovery Channel but not sure I get their Learning Channel (there are several breakout channels associated with the Discovery Channel) that this is on:

http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/make-you...-you-thin.html

I'll have to look for it. From the host's site:

I saw it once, while flipping channels just last Sunday. I think it was on TLC.

The sad part is...I was eating an entire pizza, and crying, while I watched it. But I still ate the whole pizza....

I dunno. It kind of struck me as yet another infomercial kind of thing. Maybe he's good, I don't know.

Here's his web site. It looks like it has the info.
http://www.mckenna.com/default.aspx

The first episode, I thought, oh well. What's it hurt to try? I haven't been consistent, but when I focus on my eating, I eat a lot less. I can usually eat a hamburger, fries, drink, but I was trying to see when I felt full. I ended up eating half my burger, no fries and four sips of drink.

He does this tapping thing for emotional eating and visualization for cravings. It seems to work.

Again, it's an odd feeling to leave food on my plate. We always eat in front of the tv, so I close my eyes to feel if I'm full. I don't know if this will last or if it's The Latest Thing. For now it's an interesting experiment.

ive got the books to this tv series..
ive had them about a year
and they helped structure my thoughts around foor for the 5 days that i picked up the book. but then i kind of didnt pick it up again. reminds me of just another diet plan or weightloss book that loses its novelty once the title wears off.
it does have some good techniques in it though.. im sure it works for some people.

yea, i've seen the show and i think it's a good show; however, i think i directs more towards overweight people than eating disorders. He talks alot about eating until your body tells you its full, which is good but be careful the disorder isn't talking and telling you that you dont need to eat because you'll get fat. You're not going to get fat.

Oh... and Razzleberry... I can totally relate. Even though its sad, i kinda had to laugh to myself when i read that you ate a whole pizza while watching the show because i do the same thing. I always read my books on recovery during a binge. (by the way "Life Without ED" is a really good book.

I think the show is good but be careful not to trust it for recovery. You should still go to a councelor and dietitian.

Compulsive Overeating without purging IS an eating disorder. Emotional eating does make you fat.

No I don't think an anorexic should watch this kind of show.
