Has anyone here had it done ? You get hypnotised into thinking you have has the gastric band fitted ....

I haven't heard about it Tishie. I think you should give it a try - sounds harmless. Would the goal be to convince the patient they actually have it?

I don't know all the details however I do know they actually hypnotise you into thinking you are having the operation !

I am excited about it, it takes place over a few weeks and you get a CD to listen to every other day or so for forty mins .

I've never heard of that, it sounds interesting. Do you think you will be convinced you've had it done? Perhaps you'll know you haven't had it done, but will be able to act as though you have? (ahh ok, I know nothing about it!).

I mean, will you be posting next week telling us you've had gastric band surgery? :P

I hope it works for you and you get the outcome that you are hoping for! I support the idea of not getting the actual surgery.
Will they be helping you with a food plan and things like that?

Let us know how it goes, if you are able (I'm not sure how it will work if you think you've had it done you won't really be able to tell us about it, I don't think?).
