I've lost a lot of weight recently. It could be a mix of undereating, my depression meds, my depression, or birth control.
But I'm now at 115-117... my "normal" weight before that was 125-130, I'm 5'7-5'8. I've been losing weight FAST. When I eat a normal amount... I feel kinda sick of late. But I also feel weak, kinda hungry but stomach is full and I even feel like throwing up at times. Any advice... on how to eat a bit more than you're comfortable with? After having one relatively small piece of chicken, I felt sick, when I forced some bread into me... I felt really sickish and that's lasted a few hours now. And all I ate the rest of the day was one piece of lasagna. For an entire day of meals... not enough I'm thinking... but I dunno anymore. suggestions? thanks everyone

i have this idea - i don't know how accurate it is but it makes sense to me - that you can work up your food intake by adding in less-solid foods... fruit shakes, soup, yogurt, cream cheese, some fruits...
again, i don't know how effective it'd be, just an idea.

You are not alone.
I get the "sick feeling" too. I actually have a gag sensation sometimes when I try to force myself to eat. How active are you? Less active people tend to be less hungry and when they do eat they tend to feel sick, because their body isn't used to having all the nutrients forced into it. |

i think rapid unexplained weight loss is something worth talking to a doctor about. if you have no appetite, that's one thing to explain. if you think you're eating a reasonable amount but still losing weight, you might be sick. My mom lost a lot of weight quite suddenly and turned out to have a thyroid problem.

![]() tao - thanks so much... I only ever drink water, so adding some form of drink can help. I'm going to drink stuff a bit more t help me get in more. Manda - it's good to know I'm not the only one, I'm not very active so that's also one thing I should think about. e_sort: If it continues ... I'll see a doctor... but I think it's just that I don't eat enough, I do have trouble eating a normal meal, I didn't realize it but the more I actually pay attention... *sigh*

just updating. I decided to count calories today and make sure I ate enough. I felt like I was forcing food down.
I guess this just proves on a normal day I haven't been eating even 1000 calories i think ![]() I didn't even realize it before.. I had between 1200-1300 today and I feel SO GROSS. I had to force it down. I don't even know... I dont feel like I can eat this much every day :/
