I have been struggling with bulimia for 30 years, I have no support system at home. I was going to an awesome counselor for quite awhile. We were really starting to make progress however I lost my insurance and couldn't afford to go anymore. After about a yr of not going I went down hill fast. I don't know where to get help.

12-step programs are always free and you can go as much as you want. I go to both Al-Anon and Overeaters Anonymous and find them helpful. I would suggest OA, many of them have special ED meetings where you can meet other bulimics.

Thx, I have tried OA before and where I am there wasn't anyone like me and I didn't find it very helpful, however I did find a new group called ANAD,anorexia nervosa and associated disorders, however it only meets once a month. Not really sure if there is going to be a way to contact others in group for support or not, will just have to go and see.

It's been very hard for me to relate in OA. I found a very small, ED focused group (4-5) and have slowly grown to trust the others there. I don't like getting lumped in with Anorexics (no offense, guys, it's just not the same), but rather relate best to other bulimics.
