I'm starting to get really frustrated. I've in recovery from anorexia so I expected weight gain of course. However it has never plateaued to a healthy weight like it should. I just keep putting on weight. I don't know if I messed up my metabolism so much it won't ever be back to normal. Or maybe it is the lithium I am on. I track my exchanges for my meal plan and I'm not overeating. I even exercise three times a week (still not able to do more due to recovery). I just can't figure out what is causing it.

lithium is a weight gain med, tho my doc explained it as it isnt the med itself rather "the number of starbucks frappachinos people drink due to the thrist caused by the drug". there are weight neutral drugs you can take to address depression.

That's very possible. I do drink a lot and it isn't always water of course. I'll have to work on that

A friend of mine who took lithium gained almost 100 lbs. Another friend who is anorexic will only take lithium because it's not a weight gainer for her. Now, I pay close attention to side effects after ruling out a well rounded diet with cardio, strength training etc. On seroquel I did a lot of damage to my back. The more weight I gained the more obsessive I was with exercising. Carrying all the extra weight while speed walking 30 miles a week was stupid. My metabolism is also screwed up from having issues with ED's and hormone levels.
