Good morning! Like the title says, I've had two c-sections -- the first was 14 years ago, the second was 5 years ago -- and I lost 100 pounds or so. Don't get me wrong, I know that's a big deal, and I'm a lot happier with myself after the weight loss. I've been trying to find out how to get my stomach toned after all the madness it's been through. Does anyone know what type of exercise is best for a person who's not looking to lose weight, but has somewhat significant extra skin in the abdominal area? I don't expect it to ever look perfect, or flat... I just don't want it to look like a cabbage patch doll's butt anymore, if I can help it. Everything I seem to find about toning the abdomen after c-sections with subsequent weight loss assume that the c-section was fairly recent... not five years ago. I hope I can even do anything!
I make a lot of jokes about it, but I'm totally insecure about it. Any advice is appreciated! I attached a couple photos of it... but I'd like to add that my ribs are misshapen, I am not emaciated! I fell out of a tree when I was in grade school and broke several ribs, and now they're all goofy looking. My BMI is healthy, and my weight is just a little low for my height. I'm 5'10" and weigh about 125 pounds. Also, one concern I have with exercise is that my pulse rate is very low, around 50 beats per minute, and my blood pressure is quite low as well... usually somewhere around 105/60-ish. I get dizzy easily. I try to keep the dizziness away by drinking a lot of liquid and eating lots of salty food, which seems to help. Anyway, if anyone knows of a good exercise routine that could help a squishy thin girl with a flabby stomach out, I'd really appreciate it! ![]() MyHorribleStomach.jpg IMG_0502.JPG |

Here's my weight loss before and after... if it matters. I know I look pretty good with a shirt on, but I'd like to look decent without covering my wretched stomach. The last one is pretty recent. I could honestly use some exercise in general. I need muscle, but I don't want to look muscular. Lean muscle would be nice. I'm just so squishy.
