Tue: conditioning (included the wrists, felt the burn)
Wed: cardio (meter is definitely on the fritz) Thu: class ("Can you extend that further?" "Um, no." But did well enough) Fri: rest day Sat: conditioning (nothing special) Sun: nothing (felt quite tired and a little sick) Mon: class (felt meh but went) Thanks prefab! I heard you were struggling a bit with exercise and things in general. Glad to hear you're getting back into a groove again. Knees are certainly better, it's just a question of how long before I switch back to something more intense. Working on the wrists too. So, it's all okay. For a while there I felt a little like: But things are looking up again. |

Love that picture!
Thanks for the support, for me (& many others) my running is closely linked to my mental well being. |

Down again. Feeling really horrible lately.
Tue: nothing (more serious mood disorder) Wed: cardio (meter beyond repair and definitely gone, effort felt inadequate) Thu: class (really rough, did poorly) Fri: rest day (no emotional rest) Sat: nothing (hugely tired after being awake pretty much all night) Sun: cardio (meager effort, but at least I did something) Mon (today): class (mild but okay) |

Wow I am seriously impressed you did that much feeling so bad, that is good going. Hope that the exercise will help you ride it out (personally it helps me to remove all performance targets, I make my aim to move only).
Not much running or cycling for me owing to snow but I have a 10k scheduled in tomorrow with a friend. |

Today I went to the gym for the second time in a row (went yesterday). I worked out on the treadmill and then used some of the weight machines. My gym has an incentive program for the holidays. Every time you go, in November and December, you get a hole punched in a card. After 15 times, you can enter to win for some cool prizes. Today was my 7th time. 8 more to go.

Well done Starry, that sounds like a good idea, glad to hear you are still keeping active.
I had a couple of runs since my last post, but that 10k was only a 8k and as my friend uses a watch (which I have stopped doing) I could see the pace was slow. I am having an internal battle, sometimes I think it's best to do just 'do it' and not worry about pace/speed, then every now and again I think 'Oh no, I'm not as fast as I was'. It's ridiculous and just writing this out now I'm boring myself. |

Felt better by later Saturday.
Tue: nothing (had an emotional meltdown) Wed: cardio (somehow got this done) Thu: class (didn't do much, but went and held it together ) Fri: rest day Sat: nothing (still struggling, the physio and minor weights seems so hard for some reason) Sun: cardio (getting dark outside, but I couldn't miss another day) Mon (today): class (usual light stuff) Glad to see you here again starry! I'm assuming the gym work is in addition to your yoga? I hear you prefab on the pacing. The rate meter is gone on my default exercise machine. It's a little frustrating since I'm just guessing my pacing now, and I can feel so different on different days that I don't know how I'm really doing. I find it incredibly hard to push myself to some kind of maximal effort when I'm exercising on my own. I'm sure I'm doing well enough for just general health, but I'd like to do better because the plyoga classes are still hard. |

My first 10k in ages today and second half was a headwind, boy that was tough, I'm not so fit, but feel better for doing it.
Think I am treading water right now, have not been to running club in 2 months, but want to pick it up a bit in New Year. Anyone else like to share their 2018 aims and goals? |

I went shopping today and parked far away. I also walked through the mall, for shopping purposes, but I walked far so I am counting it as a little exercise. Woo.
I haven't thought about my specific goals for exercise in a while Prefab. They're pretty lose goals. But they're to exercise most days, basically. I'm considering joining a women's hiking group. Oh, and another walking group that interests me. The women's group is 30 dollars a year. But its something I'm thinking about for the future. |

I'm thinking I'll get back to weights in the new year. I'll just go light and easy at first, to make sure I don't overdo anything.
Also, among other things, I'd like to be able to hold one-legged down dog for the requisite 30 seconds in the middle of the plyoga workout. Currently I have to stop and stand half the time, or do it with both feet on the ground. |

Good will come to you when you purposely take a walk. Someone gave me this tip which has made my walking more fun: While exercising on your walk, get your eyes involved in a new way by looking for three things new to you.
I've been shocked in seeing what's been there all along. Doing this suggestion takes my brain out of the stuck mode ruminating on the same thought. |

Hello....12.16.17 I went with my daughters to one of our local malls. I set my Apple Watch and we walked around for two hours. I use My Fitness Pal mobile app and my calories for today was 1,470.

That's great! So nice that you were able to get your daughters to go along too. (Although, without knowing their age, maybe a trip to the mall doesn't involve much arm twisting. )

I have an eleven and twenty year old daughters. My eleven year old is not big on the malls. I had to talk her into it. Hello there,
I went to Wally World with my mother. I set my Apple Watch to calculate my steps. I walked for 90 minutes. __________________ #SpoonieStrong Spoons are a visual representation used as a unit of measure to quantify how much energy individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses have throughout a given day. 1). Good for you, Cepheid. I really want to push myself to exercise more than I do. Right now, I just do it when I feel like it. I haven't felt like it lately (ha..). What's your secret?
