Whenever I think I'm feeling overwhelmed or when my anxiety and depression decides to creep up on me, I get myself up and try to do some exercise. Sometimes, I do some workout routines in my room. But what really helps me, I think, is just removing myself from the room and go outside.
I enjoy going to hiking trails and running there or mountain biking for about an hour and it gives me a peace of mind as I surround myself in nature. Although I enjoy exercising, I haven't really gone around doing a lot this past year because of school. Anxiety and depression really brings me down too, so it was hard to really go out and try exercising. Once I got into it, it began to help build myself back up. It's been helping me cope with a lot of difficulties. And I still experience mental and emotional setbacks whenever I start venting and lashing out. I want to keep exercising everyday in order to make that difference in my life. I'm really hoping that I just keep improving myself, not just my body but also my mind. If there are any words of encouragement, I would greatly appreciate since I tend to bring myself down a lot. Thanks guys! ![]() |

You sound like you are doing a great job handling things! Do you have a therapist you can talk to?
