Hello. Hopefully this is the right section for this topic.
I'm just wondering if anybody might have any idea why eating, seems like really any nuts but mainly/especially walnuts, makes my body feel tense and jittery shortly after. I'd probably say it's kinda similar to the same tense feeling from eating sugary food. Is it maybe because nuts are supposed to be really packed with and energy-dense foods or something, and my body has trouble processing/intaking them? __________________ |

Dear Photonate,
I am sorry this happens to you when you eat walnuts. I have not experienced this myself but perhaps others here have. I notice that eating protein rich foods, like walnuts before bed time seems to make it hard for me to fall asleep. Some people are allergic to peanuts. Unfortunately I do not know much about food allergies. Sorry I cannot be helpful to you in this. Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

Hi Photonate, I don't know the answer to this either. Maybe someone else will know, or you can ask your doctor the next time you visit.

I always start coughing after eating walnuts and almonds. Little pieces go down the wrong way. Mom said I may have a slight nut allergy. Maybe you have one too. I’d talk to a doctor though. Or just not eat them.
