I'm going to go through with it. I cannot lose this much weight on my own. I lose motivation after 40 lbs. I feel like I have to starve myself and at least with a smaller stomach I won't feel that way.

I'm a little nervous since they are removing a large portion of my stomach. I plan to go to support groups and see what people say who have had it done. I had a test today gi tract. It was fine, I'm also worried about damaging my perfectly functioning body.

I guess I'll pray about it. My health is steating to deteriorate. Now is the time to make a big change.

I have my appts scheduled with diatician and psychologist. I've watched a lot of youtube videos. Found this doctor in Michigan who does videos great resource. And listening to people's stories help too.

One of the old ladies in my building had wls in the 90's. She said don't do rny she now has osteoporosis. But she said good luck and it's a good decision. She was over 300 lbs. I'm not. I'm 265. But losing 130 lbs is overwhelming. I'm struggling to lose the 20 for the pre diet. Down 6, 14 to go. I lose slow gain fast. Sucks.

I disagree with the woman in your building. RNY has been done for 15 years and laproscopically. Its permanent and I wanted it that way. My understanding with the belt or sleeve is it can be stretched easier and can sometimes need revisions or adjustments. That is not to say its not good. Many people I know have had great success with those procedures. The type of procedure has nothing to do with osteo- that is usually due to age and genetics.
