And I've started the process with a surgeon. I need a Dr. referral. I got my diet coach referral. Whoops. I made a call to my insurance and found out I missed a step.
I went to my dr to ask for a surgery referral. She referred me to additional testing for weightloss. Hormone testing. She said they can refer me my tests are all basically normal. I know she thinks I can do it myself but I can't. My problem is I now have preop appointments, do I still go and I'm ready when I can have surgery? Or do I cancel and wait to get referred for surgery? Some appts are out of pocket. __________________ Son: 14, 12/15/2009 R.I.P. Daughter: 20 Diagnosis: Bipolar with Psychosis. Latuda 100 mgs. |

Maybe find another dr who will write you a referral. I would not go ahead with any other appointments until you have approval for the procedure from the insurance company. |

No I meant I see no reason to refer me for hormone tests because generally my tests for thyroid etc are normal. I think it's a time waster.
I'll cancel the next steps. Until I get the referral. To make sure it gets covered. __________________ Son: 14, 12/15/2009 R.I.P. Daughter: 20 Diagnosis: Bipolar with Psychosis. Latuda 100 mgs. |

For my surgery they set up everything, the preop appointment, the 2 week post op appointment and gave us all kinds of instructions for the surgery. Before they submitted it to insurance. I was kinda confused and super concerned. But insurance did approve it even with my preop exam being normal.
Medicare is great and will often pay for anything. At least where I live. __________________ Ridin' with Biden Last edited by Mountaindewed; Oct 12, 2021 at 01:30 PM.. |
