I think Ive told my boyfriend Im tired of your face being in a screen a million times. Hes devoted to his games and theres many. The worse is Final Fantasy 11. He plays games more then he does anything else in his life. We have children and he hardly talks to them. It doesnt help that his family lives in the same complex as us. Both his brothers game a lot to. The youngest brother plays probably more then my boyfriend. The root of this is the father though. Their father has been sitting in a room in front of a screen playing FF for the past nine years and literally doesnt do anything else. Hes by far the worse case Ive seen or even heard about. The father owns five laptops and a computer to play several characters at a time. Their financial situation is always bad because he pays for each one every month. I fear my boyfriend is following in his steps. Hes emotionless and only cares about playing games. I dont get much help with the four children we have or the house. Right now hes out of work and I have to fight like hell to get him to apply for jobs. When we start fighting about it and I ask his mother how she handled it for long she speaks of it as if its acceptable and I need to get over it. Ive tried to make him see what hes doing is destructive to our life but like I said he doesnt care for much. Ive even busted a computer in the past to get him to stop. I dont know how long I can tolerate this because I i definitly aint like the mother. I aint tolerating this ****. If Im gonna do it alone then Im gonna be alone.

I played Final Fantasy 11 for 6 years. It is very addicting. I quit many years ago. Although I know how it is.

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, and I feel really sorry that this is what his life has regressed to. He needs to get out and get help, find more purpose and life beyond gaming.

Ouch that's bad. I hope he could get through this addiction and I feel sorry for you . This could be resolved as long as he is willing to get off in front of that screen.
