Help?? Every time I go into a store or gas station (I live in NY) I spend at least $20 on scratch off tickets. When I win, I usually play more, and if I lose I get mad, and play more. What is wrong with me? This just started 2-3 years ago. I think I am addicted

Yes you probably are. That's what agencies that administer these games want. They want you to spend 'til you bleed. And they don't care how much it hurts you. I don't know what the answer to this is. Perhaps, when you go to a store or gas station where they have these things, just take the amount of cash you need to pay for whatever you need to buy & no more. Also, if there are lottery commercials on TV, mute the sound & don't watch them... similarly with radio commercials if you listen to the radio. The commercials are designed to reinforce your addiction.
Thanks for this!

Can you buy your gas with a credit card. In my state you can not buy any lottery products with a credit/ debit card. It must be cash.
