Hello have you ever heard of anyone that can't use their body to do everyday tasks because their fear and anxiety has caused them to shut down inside or tightened their muscles so bad. I have a strong faith in God and I feel it's my fault because I am so fearful have been since I was a child. Do you know what I should do or know anyone like me. This started 25 years ago. Thank-you.

Hello CaliTiger, welcome to Psych Central. No it is not your fault that your anxiety affects you like that. Thinking that way will make your anxiety worse. Have you got medication for this? And have you had any therapy? There are lots of relaxation and breathing techniques you can learn. Check out our Anxiety, Panic and Phobias forum.

Thank you for making me feel welcome. I have issues with anxiety, depression and depersonalisation. I am not sure if this is the place to start talking about this. I am already in therapy so this is more of a learning experience for me and a way to know that there are others who also have problems dealing with everyday life.

Hi! I'm new to this site. I'm from Indiana and have been diagnosed since 1990. I just recently went thru a complete change in my meds, so far I'm not where I'd like to be. I take seroquel, lithium, brintellex, abilify, klonopin, prozac I think that is all of the psych meds I take now. Oh I have bipolar.

Hello,
I am resubmitting this message, I apologise if it appears twice.

I take medication for Depression, GAD, and OCD, which keeps my mental health good.

However, I am still left with the fact that I can't work people out. I get very anxious if I am with people, especially 1:1, at work or social situations. I don't know what people think, so this leaves me paranoid that I have upset them.
I just took the ASD quiz and got 42 which indicates I have ASD.

I this what I have, or social phobia?
