Sorry if I am being blind or anything I just can't find anywhere that I can post about issues about that. If I post it with the Anxiety and Phobias I don't know if I would get the right responses....

Does that also have to do with ED's.....does your BDD effect your eating? We have an Eating Disorder Forum that covers anorexia, bulimia, & overeating......& there are lots of reasons WHY the people have the ED's from stress to trauma's they've gone through along with BDD (not seeing one's body as it really is?)

Just a thought from someone who deals with anorexia & who all my life has wanted to be thinner than I am but mostly is only triggered when I am stressed or when I went through a trauma.

Something I've learned on PC is that it doesn't really matter if you don't identify with the forum title, as long as you find help within the forum. For example, I started posting in the "Survivors of Abuse" forum about issues from having been tortured because people in PTSD didn't seem to "get it". And I post in Bipolar in the "Why don't we want to shower" thread. I don't have Bipolar, but showering gives me major problems.

I think you might find some peers either within the Anxiety, Panic, Phobias forum, the Eating Disorder forum, or the Depression forum. Or you can try the Search Engine and see where other people with BDD post.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
