I am suffering from panic disorder for the last 31 years since 1983. I am 49 years old male, married with a daughter 13 years old. I am working as a coordinator (Gen. Admin.) in a home textile manufacturer and exporter.

I am taking antidepressant medicine (Venlafaxine; Morning 75 mg and Night 75 mg + 37.5 mg) for quite some time to manage panic disorder. Many time I am suffering from pseudo upper back pain, giddiness when I suffer panic disorder otherwise I am quite normal. But I am not able to manage both my work and family. I am having high blood pressure 130/90. I am not able to have sex for quite some time.

I am confused with CFS, PTSD and Panic Disorder. Would like to get your advice about this as I feel that it has to be borne my lifetime.

Hello joethinam, welcome to Psych Central.

First of all many antidepressants have the side effect of erectile dysfunction, please see this link here Side effects of Venlafaxine - Depression - NHS Choices

There are many medications that you can try and there are ones that don't have such strong side effects, it really is worth checking back with your doctor about that.

CFS - extreme fatigue Chronic fatigue syndrome - NHS Choices

PTSD - a reaction to trauma Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - Psych Central

Panic disorder - anxiety/fear Panic Disorder Symptoms | Psych Central

If you are not sure what is going on with you, you might like to try these online tests Psychological Tests and Quizzes and The Sanity Score - Test Your Mental Wellness

Well for one PTSD is an anxiety disorder and Panic Disorder is an anxiety disorder...perhaps for you they are one in the same.
