Was wondering how many of you prefer online counseling? Why yes and why no?
Have anyone tried online counseling before? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've never tried it. I think I would like to be with a therapist in the flesh.

I used the Metanoia site: Metanoia: online therapy e-therapy mental health education and found online Ts twice for smaller therapy projects and that worked well, like I expected/wanted it to.

I think I'd like a phone therapist, rather than in person. In person is hard... you have to find their office, deal with them putting their feet up on the couch, deal with the last client's perfume sticking to your clothes when you leaves, and deal with being stared out. Yuck. I could totally deal with a phone call instead... I might have to look for this!

I posted a similar question some months ago. What bothers me is that the cost of an online therapy session is comparable to an IRL session. I don't think that's right...I mean, therapy online is one-dimensional...not as fully "textured" as IRL therapy.
