I was contacted by a national org. that promised the possibility of having a service dog. They sent me an unsigned, undated form letter 1 week before Christmas. They offered no explanation. It was unexpected on many levels, but mostly because the week of Thanksgiving they had contacted me telling me they would be calling me for the final interview. That call never came. My references were all contacted. It had taken 6 months to get the application package together, including a video taken by a 'therapist.'
I missed Christmas. I unplugged from the world including my phone and the computer. Today is the last day of the year. I am going off line in a few minutes and there will be no celebration. How do you look forward when the past has just claimed your last hope? |

Go adopt a dog of your own from an shelter. Train it your self. Then you and your dog can unplug, and walk in the light of a new day and a new year!
