I just started buspar 15mg two days ago along with my pristiq and abilify that I have been on for a while. Is it normal to feel more depressed and anxious when you start a new medication? I have major depression and anxiety

Hello Valerieanne77,

Buspar is used to help with anxiety and also aids sleep. As I explained in another post, it can take a while for the medications to get into your system. Please let your doctor know if your condition is worsening. Here is a link with regards to Buspar and reviews from other members that take it. Psych Central Reviews - Buspar (buspirone)
