Dear all,
For a while now, I have been on anti-depressants and ADD with some success. I was able to get stabilized again after experiencing a major mental break down with the aid of these medications. I have noticed that my medications are not as effective anymore. I do not drink or use any drugs. I feel sick in the morning and I have noticed if I take antidepressants now, that I have nightmares. Is this typical? Do people with a history of mental health issues need to change medications up every 3 years because they the medications are not effective? I am trying to get an appointment with psychiatrist but I also want input from other people who may have gone through things similar to me. Thank you for reading and any input you guys may have. |

Hi lostfornow
I am glad that you're scheduling an appointment with your pdoc, this is the best way for you to get answers particular to your current needs. From personal experience only, I've had med changes due to alteration of mood states, guided by my pdocs insight. I hope you find your path to recovery. |
