I used to be treated for depression and anxiety a few years ago. I haven't felt depressed in 3 years and no anxiety for 2 years. I feel like I've come passed my depression and it doesn't affect my every day life. I enjoy life now and I am motivated to do things and I want to do all sorts of wonderful things.

My issue is, whenever I am asked about why I was treated or specific questions about it, I still get choked up over it and cry. Does that mean I am not passed it or that I am still depressed?

It doesn't affect my every day life anymore, I personally feel like I've dealt with it. But I also know I am a sensitive person, I cry at silly things like sad movies or really happy movies, (sad and happy tears), or I find myself getting emotional when someone around me is crying. Is it all just empathy for myself and others, or does it mean I'm still depressed if I still get emotional about my past?

This all means, is that you have Healed. What you are experiencing is normal. A healed person can and will cry when talking about their healing process. You are showing and expressing your emotions freely, and that is good.
