Is there really evidence that willpower is a finite resource? Or is it more like a muscle that gets stronger if it is exercised?

Personally, I think it gets stronger when exercised. At least, in my experience it has.

That's always how I've thought about it. It's hard the first couple of weeks and you do feel exhausted, but then after that it slowly, but steadily gets easier. But something's I've read say we all only have so much and we have to be careful how we use it.
