Why most of the time my pupils are big? is that because of anxiety or the medication i take?
Even when I'm outside in the sunlight, they look a little bigger than most other people. |

Hi Ozm8ey and welcome to PC. I hope you find this place as healing as it has been for me.
I always associate dilated pupils with meds. The anxiety question made me stop and think. Without researching it, I'm just guessing that it could be a physiological response to fear. Your PDoc is the best person to answer this question. S/he knows your meds and knows you. Edit: I just read your post on your dry mouth. It's possible it could be related to your dilated pupils, I mean, they could be from the same thing. Please check with a doctor. I get panicky when my mouth gets dry, too. Pupils tend to be big if you are looking at something you like or if the light is not good. Change in pupils can be due to certain medications. The time to worry about it is if you have banged your head or if one pupil is blown and the other isn't. If you are concerned, please see your doctor.

It is possible some medications could have that effect.

My H doesn't take any psych meds to make this happen but...
when he gets mad, upset, nervous his pupils dilate. Scary looking. Maybe coz he has blue eyes. Maybe coz he holds alotta stuff in? Better the dilated eyes than a blow up, for me anyway. |
