like bipolar disorder with psychosis or depression with psychosis since my understanding of schizoaffective disorder is that it is a mood disorder (such as bipolar or depression) and the psychosis element of schizophrenia?

A mood disorder with psychosis is when psychosis presents itself during extreme mood episodes.

Schizoaffective (bipolar type) would be bipolar mood disorder PLUS psychosis independent of a mood episode.
